BANK OF AFRICA’S SUSTAINABILITY RATING BY MOODY’S VIGEO EIRIS RANKED FIRST IN MOROCCO AND WITHIN THE WORLD’S TOP 2% 15 March 2021

Vigeo Eiris ranked BANK OF AFRICA in the top 2% of 4,880 companies and first out of 90 in the Retail & Specialized Banks Emerging Markets sector – following the first “Corporate Sustainability Rating” carried out in Morocco. BANK OF AFRICA obtained an A1 + rating (Advanced level), based on an overall score of 64/100, thus reaffirming the Group’s commitment to CSR leadership.

BANK OF AFRICA was designated “Top CSR Performer” in 2020 by Vigeo Eiris for the 7th consecutive year, and leader in the Retail & Specialized Banks Emerging Market, based on the six domains of Environmental, Social and Governance performance. This recognition reaffirms BANK OF AFRICA’s positioning, under the leadership of its Chairman Othman Benjelloun, as a reference pan-African & international Group in terms of sustainable, inclusive and positive impact finance.
