BANK OF AFRICA NAMED TOP PERFORMER CSR 2019 BY VIGEO AND No. 1 IN THE EMERGING MARKETS’ BANKING SECTOR IN THE VIGEO EIRIS RANKING OF THE YEAR 2019 23 October 2019

BANK OF AFRICA has been designated by the extra-financial rating agency Vigeo Eiris, "Top Performers CSR 2019" in Morocco among 16 winners and 10 listed companies for their overall performance on the integration of ESG – Environment, Social and Governance aspects. BANK OF AFRICA leads the emerging markets banking sector in the Vigeo Eiris 2019 Ranking.

BANK OF AFRICA obtained the best score among the ten best performing listed Moroccan companies in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility approach distinguished by their overall performance.

This distinction, obtained for the 6th consecutive year, reinforces the positioning of the BANK OF AFRICA Group, under the impetus of its Chairman Mr. Othman Benjelloun, as a reference international partner in sustainable and inclusive finance that has a positive impact. In 2019, BANK OF AFRICA’s performance is particularly distinguished by 16 criteria of social and environmental responsibility. In addition, the Bank has been included in the non-financial stock market index “EM 70” since 2016.
